PVPA Meetings are held at 7:30 PM in the pilot's lounge of Brackett Airport (POC) in La Verne, CA, the last Thursday of the month except November and December. Guests are welcome to join us for a program of informative speakers.

- 26 - PVPA Bill Koukourikos, Edwards Air Force base Flight Safety Office will speak.
Edwards Air Force base is the home of the Air Force Flight Test Center and NASA's Dryden Flight Research Facility. The hallowed skies above the base have seen incredible leaps in aviation technology, from the first sonic boom, to the Space Shuttle and now the advent of pilotless aircraft. Mr. Koukourikos will present an educational seminar on the mission of the base and the current major projects. He will also educate us on the R-2508 airspace surrounding the base and safe and effective ways to navigate through the Military Operating Areas. Don't miss this exciting seminar. There will be plenty of handouts.
