News For and About Members and Friends of PVPA PVPA Awards Scholarships We always get questions about what we do with the money made at the Air Fair. (The next one will be an Air Show.) Well, the answer is SCHOLARSHIPS. At the September meeting, PVPA awarded $3,400 in scholarship money to deserving students. The recipients of these awards are the same folks who one day could be working on your airplane or guiding you through the crowded Southern California skies. And, when you are too old and decrepit to fly your own airplane and want to go on a jaunt, one of them may even be your pilot. The Rudesill Flight Time Scholarship is given to students in non-flying programs a taste of the other side of the picture by allowing them to fly the palne. Who knows, the bug may bite them too.
